01 / THE ARTIST & THE WORK
There is more than meets the eye.
My paintings have always come from somewhere beneath the visible world. Sometimes they begin with landscape, sometimes with the body, the feminine, memory, myth, or an image that arrives before I understand what it means.
I follow color, texture, shape and instinct until something begins to reveal itself. Painting is one of the ways I listen.

“Painting has always been one of the ways I listen. It gives form to things I don’t yet have words for.”
The materials change. The source remains the same.
